This red wine is a sort of like a good romance. It reminds you of dessert, but isn’t too sweet. It involves both chocolate and coffee. And, it remembers how it started (in a sweet spot of the Napa Valley). The Cameron Hughes Lot 444 Meritage is a medium-bodied red wine with romantic aromas of cherry, acacia flower, blackberry jam, and graphite. After a few moments in the glass, dark chocolate and coffee scents follow, and are appropriately chased by flavors of black fruits and toasty oak. This red wine is rich, spicy, and smooth. Enjoy, and be romanced.
