Editor's Review

"It's hard to ignore the enchanting fruit aromas and flavors of the Côté Mas Blanquette de Limoux. Tasting this wine in chilly December, it transported me to a place where there was no snow on the ground. With its vibrant fruit aromas - I noted apple and citrus - I could imagine being somewhere warm, relaxing, and tropical.

The wine is a pretty pale yellow color in the glass, and you'll notice a nice froth of bubbles when you pour. The nose is perfumed and inviting, and on tasting there's a strong impression of fruit flavor. Apple and pear, with accents of juicy pineapple, combine for a delicious and slightly sweet sip.

This wine is tasty and easy to drink, and it would be perfect for serving to friends and family, especially if they enjoy some sweetness in their wine. It's an ideal aperitif, but you could enjoy it with a variety of salty or fried appetizers.

It would also go well with some desserts, such as lemon cookies or apple tart."

I really enjoyed this champagne - it was easy to drink and had hints of citrus (especially apple!) I imagine it pairing very well with the pear & goat cheese appetizer I am serving at my upcoming Christmas party. I think it would also go great with brie :)

I love the light and refreshing taste of this bubbly. I definitely could taste pear and apple flavors in every sip!
