The Colgin Cariad Red 2006 is a muscular, nearly beefy, red wine, with impressive layers of fruit and savory flavor. The nose shows succulent aromas of grilled steak juice, roasted coffee grounds, and tar. With a little air, ethereal aromas of wet loamy earth, spiced coffee cake, and crushed rock waft to the nose. The palate is bold and mouthcoating, with velvety tannins.
This red wine is one to hold on to and enjoy at the perfect moment with the perfect people. It will age excellently.
