Prosecco Mint Julep

Prosecco Mint Julep
Prosecco Mint Julep

Up your mint julep game with this Prosecco Mint Julep. It’s a gorgeous sparkling cocktail recipe that’s ready just in time for your Derby Day celebrations. You can see for yourself that this drink is a snap to make, and the finished result is beautiful and delicious. It’s perfect for those who love a classic mint julep, and it’s also great for those who love a fun update on an old favorite. Prosecco is the perfect choice of sparkling wine here, but feel free to use any favorite bubbly you have on hand. Cheers!

Preparation Time5 min

  • 1 bottle Prosecco, well chilled
  • 4 ounces Bourbon
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint, leaves picked off the stems
  • Ice
  • Sugar, if desired

  1. In julep cups, place 4 to 5 mint leaves. Pour over 1 ounce of bourbon.  If you'd prefer a sweeter drink, add 1/2 teaspoon sugar at this time.

  2. Muddle the mint and bourbon in the bottom of the cup to release the flavors.

  3. Fill cup with ice and top with Prosecco, about 3-4 ounces. Enjoy!

Yum, this looks delicious! I never would have thought to include sparkling wine in a mint julep, but that's a great idea.
